Research : Fruit Ninja
Fruit Ninja is a juicy action game
enjoyed by millions of players around the world, with squishy, splatty and
satisfying fruit carnage! Become the ultimate bringer of sweet, tasty
destruction with every slash.
In Fruit Ninja, the player slices fruit with
a blade controlled via a touch pad. As the fruit is thrown onto the screen, the
player swipes their finger across the screen to create a slicing motion,
attempting to slice the fruit in half
Fruit Ninja (known as Fruit Ninja HD on the iPad and Fruit Ninja THD for Nvidia Tegra 2-based Android devices) is a video game developed by Halfbrick Studios in Brisbane, Australia. It was released April 21, 2010 for iPod Touch and iPhone devices, July 12, 2010 for the iPad, September 17, 2010 for Android OS
devices. It was released for Windows Phone on December 22, 2010. Also, in March
2011, versions for Samsung's Bada and Nokia's Symbian began to be distributed on their
respective official application channels. Just prior to E3 2011 Fruit
Ninja Kinect was released for the Xbox 360 on August 10, 2011 and utilizes the Kinect peripheral. Fruit
Ninja was also released for Windows 8 on June 7, 2012. An arcade version
called Fruit
Ninja FX also exists. In the game the player must slice fruit that is
thrown into the air by swiping the device's touch screen with their finger(s) or in the case
of the Xbox 360 version, the player's arms and hands. It features multiple
gameplay modes, leaderboards and multiplayer.
Sensei's Swag is where players can change the blades

unlockables and extra blades.
The Original Blade is a blade in Fruit Ninja and Fruit Ninja Frenzy. It consists of a silver
blade. The original, classic silver blade.
The Shiny Red Blade is an unlockable blade in Fruit
Ninja.
The Disco Blade is an unlockable blade in Fruit
Ninja. The colors of the blade alternate between purple, yellow, red, green,
and blue. This Disco Sword changes color with Every Swipe. Funky!
Unlockable Blades:
Original Blade: This is your starting blade.
Shiny Red Blade: You unlock this upon first checking Sensei's Swag.
Disco Blade: Slice 50 bananas.
Sensei is an
elder character in Fruit Ninja and
trusted advisor to the player. He gives fruit facts and gaming tips. When Fruit Ninja celebrated its second
anniversary, Halfbrick released an update with a new feature called Gutsu's
Cart, which comprises two characters, a pig named Truffles and a human named
Gutsu. In the various modes of the game, you can earn starfruit to
purchase items in Gutsu's Cart.
Research: Metaphor
A metaphor is a figure of speech
that describes a subject by asserting that it is, on some point of
comparison, the same as another otherwise unrelated object. Metaphor is a
type of analogy and is closely related to other rhetorical figures of speech that achieve their effects via association, comparison or resemblance including allegory, hyperbole, and simile
A metaphor is distinct from, but related to a simile, which is also a comparison. The primary difference is that a simile uses the word like or as to compare two things, while a metaphor simply suggests that the dissimilar things are the same. If this is confusing, take a look at some of these metaphor examples to get a better understanding of exactly what a metaphor is.
Similarly, who would really spend time thinking of the vast differences between success and failure if the metaphor was missing, and the statement was just “Everyone wants to be successful, no one wants to be a failure?” That statement would be a failure itself, in inspiring interest in the conversation!
Metaphors are meant to create an impact in the minds of readers. Other kinds of expressions that belong to this genre are:
Metaphor Examples
The definition of a metaphor is "a figure of speech containing an implied comparison, in which a word or phrase ordinarily and primarily used of one thing is applied to another (Ex.: the curtain of night, “all the world's a stage”)."A metaphor is distinct from, but related to a simile, which is also a comparison. The primary difference is that a simile uses the word like or as to compare two things, while a metaphor simply suggests that the dissimilar things are the same. If this is confusing, take a look at some of these metaphor examples to get a better understanding of exactly what a metaphor is.
Metaphor: Situation vs. the Real Thing
You may have often heard expressions such as “he drowned in a sea of grief” or “she is fishing in troubled waters,” or “success is a bastard as it has many fathers, and failure is an orphan, with no takers.” All these expressions have one thing in common: a situation is compared to a real thing, although the situation is not actually that particular thing.- Sea of grief - How and where does one come across a sea that is filled not with water, but with grief?
- Fishing - It is not used to mean that the person is actually fishing; it is an expression which is used to signify that the person is looking for something that is difficult to obtain.
- Success is a sense of achievement, it is not an illegitimate child! - The saying is used to reinforce the age-old belief that everyone wants to take credit for something that became a success, either by fluke or by conscious effort. On the other hand, no matter how much effort or creativity may have gone into an enterprise, the moment it is considered a failure, no one wants to take responsibility for it, much like an abandoned infant.
- Broken heart - Your heart is not literally broken into pieces; you just feel hurt and sad.
- The light of my life - The person described by this metaphor isn't really providing physical light. He or she is just someone who brings happiness or joy.
- It's raining men - Men do not literally pour from the sky; there are simply an abundance of male suitors around at the time.
- Time is a thief - Time isn't really stealing anything, this metaphor just indicates that time passes quickly and our lives pass us by.
- He is the apple of my eye - There is, of course, no real apple in a person's eye. The "apple" is someone beloved and held dear.
- Bubbly personality - A bubbly personality doesn't mean a person is bubbling over with anything, just that the person is cheerful.
- Feel blue - No one actually ever feels like the color blue, although many people say they are "feeling blue" to mean they are feeling sad.
- Fade off to sleep - You don't actually fade, you simply go to sleep.
- Inflamed your temper - The news inflamed your temper is not a situation where there is any actual fire or flames, it is just a situation where someone gets mad.
- Reeks of infidelty - When said about a cheating partner, this doesn't actually mean that there is a literal smell. Instead, it is just apparent that the person is cheating.
- Rollercoaster of emotions - A rollercoaster of emotions doesn't exist anywhere, so when people are on a rollercoaster of emotions, they are simply experiencing lots of ups and downs.
- Stench of failure - The stench of failure is strong, according to the common metaphor, but of course failing doesn't really smell.
Purpose of Metaphors
Expressions are used to give effect to a statement. Imagine how bland a statement such as “he was sad” is, compared to a statement describing a “sea of grief.” The metaphor is sure to give the reader a better idea of the depths of grief in this situation.Similarly, who would really spend time thinking of the vast differences between success and failure if the metaphor was missing, and the statement was just “Everyone wants to be successful, no one wants to be a failure?” That statement would be a failure itself, in inspiring interest in the conversation!
Metaphors are meant to create an impact in the minds of readers. Other kinds of expressions that belong to this genre are:
- similes, which make a comparison
- hyperboles, which are exaggerations
- antithesis, which use contrasts to prove a point
Examples of Similes
Similies are very close to metaphors, but make a comparison instead of actually suggesting that two things are essentially the same. For example, while the above quote didn't suggest that success was like a bastard, the quote by Qan Zhang that "Success is like a pie, there are different layers" compares success to a pie.Assignment 2: Research
For assignment 2, I choose elctricity as my concept of this project and
how many times I use to switch on the plug at three different area;
kitchen, living room and living room upstairs. I recorded the usage in 1
week/ 7 days
Electricity
.
In electricity, charges produce electromagnetic fields which act on other charges. Electricity occurs due to several types of physics:
- electric charge: a property of some subatomic particles, which determines their electromagnetic interactions. Electrically charged matter is influenced by, and produces, electromagnetic fields.
- electric current: a movement or flow of electrically charged particles, typically measured in amperes.
- electric field (see electrostatics): an especially simple type of electromagnetic field produced by an electric charge even when it is not moving (i.e., there is no electric current). The electric field produces a force on other charges in its vicinity. Moving charges additionally produce a magnetic field.
- electric potential: the capacity of an electric field to do work on an electric charge, typically measured in volts.
- electromagnets: electrical currents generate magnetic fields, and changing magnetic fields generate electrical currents
Cable
Electric cables discussed here are mainly meant for installation in buildings and industrial sites. For power transmission at distances greater than a few kilometres see high-voltage cable, power cables, and HVDC.
Plug
AC power plugs and sockets are devices that allow electrically operated equipment to be connected to the primary alternating current (AC) power supply in a building. Electrical plugs and sockets differ in voltage and current rating, shape, size and type of connectors. This plug, commonly called a 13 A plug or 13 amp plug, has three rectangular pins forming an isosceles triangle. Line and neutral are nominally 4 by 6.35 mm (0.157 by 0.250 in) and 17.7 mm (0.697 in) long, on centres spaced 22.2 mm (0.874 in) apart. 9 mm (0.354 in) of insulation at the trailing ends of the pins prevents accidental contact with a bare connector while the plug is partially inserted. The earth pin is nominally 4 by 8 mm (0.157 by 0.315 in) and 22.7 mm (0.894 in) long.

Artwork Title :
Mario
Game Rank
Artist Treatment :,
Adobe Photoshop

Artist Statement :
For the concept board, I try
to make it as simple as possible where I want to highlight the background
texture that I take from the Mario Game brick wall and the blue color that be
monopolizes the whole stage of Mario Game. The text “Mario Game Rank” itself be
colored with basic color of this game where the red and yellow are actually the
outfit color for the Mario’s character itself. Finally for the silhouette
character show the movement or body language that represent achievement.
Outcome of Stop Motion
Intro
For the intro, basicly I want to show to the audience that the technique that I use is a combination of media. If I just start the output direct to the next page, it will be kind of "boring" stop motion, so I decide to show from how I start to arrange and do it to show the process.

The Main Concept of this project is all about Mario Game where it based on the statistic statement of ‘Mario Game Rank’ that I find interesting to be the Main Title of my project. The reason why I choose Mario as the subject because it remind me when I’am a kid and also before this I have never try something that relate to pixelated artwork. For the process, I’am using a combination of media where it are stop motion and multimedia scripting in term of interactive. For the concept of this project is “pixelated” and I try to show the overall output in that term.

Research: Color
Red is a very strong color. It is a noticeable color that is often used on caution and warning signs. It is often associated with stop or "beware". It’s a hot color that evokes a powerful emotion of passion, lust, sex, energy, blood and war. Red is a good color to use for accents that need to take notice over other colors. Red is often used in flags for nations, as it is a symbol of pride and strength. It is also a sporty color that many car manufactures choose to showcase their signature vehicles.
Yellow is the brightest color to the human eye. It represents youth, fun, happiness, sunshine and other light playful feelings. It is a cheerful energetic color. Yellow is often used for children’s toys and clothes. Yellow is often hard to read when placed on a white background so designers must be careful when using yellow, that it isn't’t too difficult to read or notice. Though yellow is a bright cheerful color, as it starts to darken it, however, quickly becomes a dirty and unpleasant color. Yellow can also be associated with being scared and, cowards. The term "yellow belly" is proof of that.
Green is the color of nature and health. It represents growth, nature, money, fertility and safety. Green is a relaxing color that is easy on the eye and has a healing power to it. It is often used to represent anything having to do with health. Many pharmaceutical and nutritional companies use green in their logos and material to advertise safe natural products. Dark green is commonly associated with the military, money, finance, and banking. However it can also be associated with being new or inexperienced as being green or a "green horn". Green is becoming a very popular color in design for web sites.
Blue is a cool calming color that shows creativity and intelligence. It is a popular color among large corporations, hospitals and airlines. It is a color of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust. Blue has a calming effect on the psyche. Blue is the color of the sky and the sea and is often used to represent those images. Blue is a color that generally looks good in almost any shade and is a popular color among males. Blue is not a good color when used for food as there are few blue foods found in nature and it suppresses the appetite.
Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Throughout history purple has been associated with royalty, nobility and prestige. It symbolizes mystery, magic, power and luxury. Purple is often used to portray rich powerful kings, leaders, wizards and magicians. Purple combined with gold can be flashy and portray wealth and extravagance. Light purple and pink is good for a feminine design and is a popular color among teenage girls. Bright purple along with yellow is commonly used in promoting children's products. It gives the appearance of something that is fun and easy to do.
Black is often a color used to portray something evil, depressing, scary or even death in western civilization. It has negative imagery with it at times such as "black mail" "black list" "black hole" etc. Black is also a very powerful color that also portrays one of class elegance and wealth. Classy clothing is designed in black from the "power suit" to the "sexy black dress" to formal "black-tie attire". Black combined with other colors can have a very strong statement. Black is a color that can fit into almost every design to add contrast, type, and make the other colors stand out more.
White is often associated with being pure, clean, fresh and good. The color of a fresh snowstorm brings up images of a peaceful and pure winter scene. White is a common background for Webster's as it is easy to read black or dark text on it. When used with a design using lots of negative space it gives a very clean look to it. White is also used lots for charities and non-profit organizations to denote something good and positive. Hollywood often portrays their characters in white as being good; the white horse, the cowboy with the white hat, the white wizard etc. White usually is associated with being pure and almost heavenly, it is associated with hospitals, doctors, and heaven.

Research: Top 5 New Super Mario Bros
The game begins with Mario and Princess Peach taking a walk outside the castle. Suddenly, while Peach's Castle is in view from them, a cloud goes over the castle, and lightning starts to strike it {possibly Lakithunder}. All the Toads start to scream and jump out of the castle, and Mario goes over to help, expecting that Peach would be okay. While Mario runs over to the castle, Bowser Jr. sneaks up behind her, and kidnaps Peach. Mario looks back, realizes this, and starts to run toward him. Bowser Jr. will then throw a Koopa Shell at Mario making him Small Mario and hide inside the nearest Tower with Peach.
Mario now goes throughout the grassy land toward the Tower. Once he gets there, Bowser Jr. will decide to fight Mario. Once Mario wins, Bowser Jr. escapes, takes Peach, and runs off, Mario will now have to go through many obstacles to get her back. While trying to find her, Mario will encounter a castle, and finds out that inside waiting isBowser. Mario will get past him, and jump on the switch to break the bridge that Bowser is on {like in the original Super Mario Bros.}, whom will fall in the lava and turn into a skeleton, turning him into Dry Bowser.
Mario will have to now go through the Mushroom Kingdom tracking down Bowser Jr., going through deserts, oceans, jungles, ice lands, mountains, and even the sky. Once he gets to the last land, the Lava world, he will encounter Dry Bowser. You will have to get past all the bones that he throws, and the monster himself, to hit the switch to once again make him fall through a deep bottom pit. However, he can still spit fire. He is somewhat slower than Bowser.
Now, Mario goes out to find Bowser Jr again, and comes up to a huge castle, which he enters in hope of finding Peach. Once he gets to the end, he finds Bowser Jr., whom will throw the Bones Bowser into a pot with potion that revives Bowser. Now, the two will fight you, where you'll have to get past both of them to hit the switch, which will drop the bridge. Now Peach will come down off her platform, and kiss Mario on the cheek, which ends the story.

Research: Top 4 Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land plays similarly to the classic Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System, with similar physics and the inability to backtrack to previous screens, as well as lacking any sort of save feature. One unique feature of the game was that at two points in the game, Mario drives two different vehicles, the Sky Pop and the Marine Pop, adding variety to the gameplay.
Also, the traditional Fire Flower power-up was slightly different in this game, instead being called the "Super Flower" and transforming Mario into Superball Mario. Instead of bouncing along the ground like regular fireballs, the superball always bounces at a diagonal angle, allowing it to ricochet around the entire playing field, bouncing off walls, blocks, even ceilings. The superball disappears when it hits an enemy, bounces off screen, or after a short time. The superball is also useful in that it collects coins as it touches them, allowing Superball Mario to collect coins that are out of his reach.
Hard Mode
After the game is completed, the game returns to the title screen. However, the mushroom cursor next to "Start" changes to an image of Mario's head, meaning that the player can play in Hard Mode. This is a harder version of the game which has a number of changes, some examples of which are more monsters in certain levels (some in levels that they weren't previously in) and more falling ceilings and stalactites in the indoor levels. Once this mode is completed, the player can access a level select. Due to the inability of Super Mario Land to save, however, Hard Mode and the level select will be lost as soon as the power to the Game Boy runs out or the player shuts the system off.

Research: Top 3 Super Mario World
Super Mario World (AKA Super Mario Bros. 4) is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System classic released in 1990, 1991 and1992 by Nintendo. The game has been hailed as one of the many various Mario classics, earned the title of being the best-selling Super NES game of all time, thus has been remade or re-released on various platforms including the Game Boy Advance and the Wii'sVirtual Console.
The gameplay expands upon Super Mario Bros. 3's excellent execution of the ever popular genre, and became the most prominent game released during the console's launch window. Super Mario World is a sidescrolling platformer that takes heroes Mario and Luigithrough various environments and obstacles. Perhaps Super Mario World's biggest bang was the introduction of Yoshi, who would later go on to star in his own series of video games such as Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Safari. Yoshi was the Mario Bros.' steed and was capable of eating nearly every enemy and fruit using his elongated tongue. He also gave them one extra bit of life and possessed special abilities that could only be triggered by swallowing a specific Koopa shell.
